  1. Hi there. I have just found your videos. I am just over 7 weeks post options. Fibula operation with plate and dislocated ankle all in! Cast was removed and I have limited movement but am introducing weight with a brace and crutches. Your yoga videos are great as lying and sitting are awful and achy.
Also watching this last video 2017 has brought home to me just how bad an injury I have. My husband keeps telling me, It is frustrating isn't it.
    Thanks and will keep watching

    1. I’m one week behind you. And same here, I’ve now discovered that this is a devastating injury. I also sprained by left ankle when I fell, so “hopping” with my walker hasn’t helped. I wish you well. I’m motivated to fully recover, I’m in great physical therapy. Take care and hope you are up and walking soon!

  3. I’m happy I found you. I fell 8/27/17...I had fibula and tibial breaks, have 2 metal plates and 8 screws. So at four weeks postop I’m eager to walk and scared at the same time. My biggest issue is weird nerve tingling at the incision sites...did you have this? When did it stop?

    1. I had weird nerve tingling throughout the entire process in different places, and for me, it was always temporary. But if you're concerned I'd ask your doc.

    2. I got the same thing. Feels like my foot is asleep near the incision site (inside ankle I think it’s my tibia?) Also top of foot near ankle incision site but not all over. Just in spots. That weird tingly feeling when your foot is asleep. Anyways it’s weird like maybe some nerve damage. I’m 6 weeks out and I’m going for xrays next week to see if I get green light for PT. I’ll ask my doctor then post what he says for others. Gosh I’m really hoping it’s normal and will go away with time. I’m sure when I fell down the stairs I messed up some nerves and ligaments. 4. How are you doing now Mihal? Hope the resting got rid of the pain. I like checking your blog to see how you are, as you're so much further ahead than me (I'm 6 months post op from bimalleor ankle fracture)

    1. Yeah I'm cool now - that's not to say I don't still get tightness, but I overcame that annoying little episode :)

  5. Hi Mihal,
Wondering if the tightness is gradually decreasing?
When do you feel tightness now? When walking?

    1. I would say, aside from the occasional flare up, my tightness stays about the same. I don't feel it when walking, more like when I'm stretching.

    2. Thanks for reply, Mihal.
I'm 6 months post op and still feel tightness when walking. Did you at the beginning? Btw, i read about your pilates. Do you feel much benefit from it? It is kinda expensive in my country, though I consider to join.

  6. I’m now three months post break/surgery. I walk now. I limp a lot and i have good days and bad days. I feel far from normal...i used to love really long walks. Are you able to walk for ext need periods of time? This is depressing! But at least the nerve tingling is long gone.
